| CKC-AAA 2009 Chicago Convention Convention date: July 18, 2009
“A HARVEST OF IDEAS” “We the members of Christ the King College (C.K.C.) Onitsha, Alumni Association in America (CKC-AAA), gathered on the occasion of our 13th Annual Convention in Chicago, IL, on 17-19 July 2009, which also coincides with the return of our Alma Mater to the Catholic Mission, have chosen “A Harvest of Ideas” as our 2009 convention theme. We believe that as products of a great college, it is incumbent on us to rally, using our respective ideas, and comparative advantage, our collective wisdom and the C.K.C. spirit, to promote educational, leadership, social, cultural accountability, transparency, and other values, which underpin, goodness, discipline and knowledge in youths and society. We are committed to making education, once again, relevant to our youths, by morally and financially supporting the sustenance of an enabling environment at C.K.C. that promotes leadership, intellectual, creative and innovative capabilities. As always, our commitment to C.K.C. is rooted in the past, in affirming the present, and building a greater future through our collective ideas.” |
